Nom actual de l'entitat, des del 1918. Fundat l'any 1860 sota el nom de Secció Coral del Centre de Lectura, va mantenir aquest nom fins el 1893, que va passar a anomenar-se Orfeó Reusenc del Centre de Lectura, fins el 1908. El 1908 es desvincula del Centre de Lectura per adherir-se a la Sociedad Recreativa El Alba, fins al 1918, on pren el seu nom actual, Orfeó Reusenc.
